25.8.1946 – 15.11.2019. Passed away peacefully at Strathhaven Uniting Care. Much loved Mother of Steven, Graeme and Kenneth. Loved Mum-in-law of Annette, Jackie and Theresa. Loved Nan to Amelia, Mia, Maddison, Chloe, Vada-Rose and Aliza. Forever missed, never forgotten. The Funeral Service to honour the life of Maureen will be held at the Thompson Memorial Parlor, 123 Mostyn Street, Castlemaine on Friday November 22nd, 2019 commencing at 11am. At the conclusion of the service, the cortege will leave for the Castlemaine Cemetery. Maureen’s family invite anyone attending her Funeral to join them in wearing purple, her favourite colour.

GRIMES, Michael John

03/04/1941 – 23/10/2019. Dearly loved husband to Lila. Pillar and Stalwart of the Maldon Community. Father to 7 children, Father in law to 6, Grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild. Died surrounded by peace and love. A true role model to all.

A Requiem Mass and Funeral Service for the late Mr. Michael John Grimes will be offered at St Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church, 801/821 Creswick-Newstead Road, Sandon on Wednesday (October 30th, 2019) commencing at 1.30pm. Following this Service, Michael will be laid to rest at the Sandon Cemetery.

Passed away suddenly on 1st October, aged 84. Loved and loving son of John and Alice (both dec). Cherished younger brother of Barbara, brother-in-law and great friend of Ron (Robertson). Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Wendy (dec). Adored and loving father and father -in-law of Trudy and Peter, Nicholas and Leah, Kym and Michael. Much loved and respected grandfather of Dylan and Bridget, Jace, Tyler and Kristen, Lochie and Harley and fond friend of Geordie. Adored and doting great grandfather of Amelia and Harvey. Our dear Dad- taken from us before conversations were finished, projects completed and new adventures commenced, but relieved that you are now reunited with ‘ the girl at the pool’ whom you haven’t stopped loving and have missed so dearly. Your bravery, strength and dignity were on display to the end and have left us with inspiring memories and a history that we will treasure – your loving children Trudy, Nick and Kym.

We, his family, extend an invitation to join us in celebrating his remarkable life at a memorial to be held at the Campbells Creek Community Centre at 2pm on Friday 11th October.
