RHONDA O’TOOLE

Rhonda passed away surrounded by her family on August 22nd 2025.

Loving wife and friend of Lyndsay for over 58 years.

Cherished mother of Leah, Sharon (dec) and Jenni,

and mother-in-law of Peter, Gavan and Paul.

Adored ‘Nana Spanner’ of Nick, Tom, Sarah, Emily, Laura, Jemima, James and Mac.

Beloved daughter of Jack (dec) and Eileen (dec), and treasured sister of Robert (dec), John (dec),

Val, Dawn, Judy and Peter (dec).

Special thanks to the amazing staff at Castlemaine Hospital, Dr. Sabine Roithmaier and the incredible staff at Bendigo Health Oncology. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Cancer Council of Victoria.

She loved her garden, she loved her friends, and she really loved her family.

She was a sparkling life force who will be forever missed.

A Thanksgiving Service to honour the life of Rhonda

will be held on Saturday 6th September 2025 at 2pm

at the Community Centre, Lyons St, Newstead.

A private cremation will follow

  1. Rhonda’s presence will be greatly missed on the green. Even with her health struggles she was willing to come down and give us the “goss”. Her boundless energy was something to look forward to whenever she was present. We are all happy to have played bowls with her and to have known her.

  2. I count myself lucky to call her my cousin. We had some wonderful times together when we were younger. So many happy memories. She was a very special person and loved by everyone. Our deepest sympathy to her family and friends. Love from the Nestor family. 💕

    We had lots of fun times working together and trips to your holiday shack and at your farm at Lakes Entrance.

    • Thanks so much, Fran and family. We talk about the netball years often, too. That orange uniform can never be forgotten! Tough days for us but we’re a close unit and we’ll get each other through. We’ll miss them forever but there is comfort in knowing they are together. Take care, Leah, Jen and Lyndsay. xx
