GRANT, Maxwell Robert ‘Max’
4th November 1929 – 8th May 2024. Passed away peacefully. Loved Husband of Lois (dec). Father of Michael (dec), Peter & Cindy, Gary & Sherrie, Roger (dec), Barbara & Russell and Brian & Kelly. Beloved Grandpa of Bella, Mila, Georgia and Alexander. Loved Son of Rob and Ivy Grant (both dec). Eldest Brother of Laurie, Eileen, Howard, Trevor (all dec).
The end of a generation
An invitation is extended to celebrate Max’s life at the Cricket Club, Peelers Road, Barkers Creek on Monday, 20th May 2024 commencing at 12 Noon. In accordance with his wish, a Private Cremation has been held. In true Max fashion, a request to wear shorts to the Service has been asked, if you feel comfortable to do so, as Max wore his beloved shorts to every occasion.
Uncle Max. You were the last of a special generation of Grants. I loved your character and your humour. I remember the time When I worked at the Supermarket. You came in to buy some Pal (dog food), which was on special, you tried to convince me that it was for you as Aunty Lois was away visiting Barbara and you couldn’t cook. 😂😂. Both of us love our footy teams, you the Tiges and me the Hawks. I felt very special when one time I received a poster of the Hawks in the mail sent by Uncle Max.
So sad to hear of your passing RIP up there with Aunty Lois and all your family. I’m sure they will be waiting to welcome you with open arms.
To Peter, Gary, Barbara and Brian and Families. I will be thinking of you all today. Sorry I won’t be there but you are all in my thoughts. Tim will fly our flag.
