The Funeral Service for John will be held at Thompson Memorial Chapel 123 Mostyn Street, Castlemaine on Wednesday 5th October 2022 commencing at 11.30 am. Refreshments will be served prior to a Private Burial.
John was an occasional member of of the Castlemaine Riders, a group of casual motorcyclista drawn from Castlemaine and surrounding towns. John became known among other riders in the group as “Johnny Diesel”. This was after he accidentally fuelled his Ducati motorcycle from a diesel pump at a Beaufort service station during a weekend run. Problems were averted when he realised his mistake was before he started the engine. The entire group joined in to solve the problem and get John John on the road again. John enjoyed the good natured ribbing he endured thereafter. He was a man who enjoyed a laugh.

I am extending my sympathy to all the family old and new as it was such a shock to hear this sad news. I still cannot believe it. Remembering him as passionate, vital and fit.
