Adored Mum of Judith (Wagstaff) and Susan (Maltby). Loved Mother-In-Law of John (dec) and Stephen. Beautiful caring Nanna of Timothy and Liz, Stacey (Solly) and Tim, Stephanie (Houston) and Marcus. Dearly loved Mum of Judy and John (dec). Mum you were such a beautiful, caring, inspirational and amazingly strong person. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Always there for us all when needed. Your fantastic cooking and knitting skills will be missed by us all. You were a fabulous role model. Your beautiful smile will be sadly missed. One eyed Collingwood supporter to the end.

Of all the special gifts in life, however great or small, to have you as our Nan was the greatest gift of all. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Forever in our hearts. Stacey, Tim and Franklin.

IREDALE, Leslie Richard

12.11.1938 – 28.08.2020, Aged 81 years.

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Leslie Richard Iredale of Blakeville, Victoria on Friday, August 28th, 2020.

Husband of the late June Iredale, married for 35 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Graeme Iredale, his daughter Sally Iredale and his Grandchildren Jake, Alex and Emily. He will also be dearly missed by his neighbours, friends and all he knew from Lake Goldsmith and Steam Engine Rallies.

Always loved, never forgotten, forever missed. Memories will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, until we meet again.

At Les’s request, no Funeral Service will be held. Although, a beer and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date, to be advised.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the Daylesford and Bacchus Marsh Highway Patrol, attending Police Officers, the Ambulance and Air Ambulance officers present, Thompson Family Funerals, and all involved for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

TERRENS, Richard ‘Dick’

12.06.1966 – 29.08.2020, Aged 54 years.

Loved and loving Husband of Karen. Much loved Father of Riley and Owen. Son of Walter Terrens (dec) and Jean Terrens (nee Laxton). Brother to Craig and Greg.

Tragically taken from us too soon, he will be dearly missed and loved forever.

23.05.1927 – 24.08.2020. Passed away peacefully at Penhall, Castlemaine. Aged 93 years. Dearly loved Wife of Kenneth Harding (dec) & Gordon Guest (dec). Daughter of Eric & Vera (both dec), Sister of Edna (dec) & Glenys. Born & raised in Guildford, Merle was a valued member of the community. Very much loved and loving Mother of Christine, Denise & Alison. Nanna Merle to 8 Grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren.

A special lady now at rest. Mum, you will be always in our hearts.

GERNHOEFER, Ian Neil

Late of Epsom & Castlemaine, passed away peacefully on 13th August 2020, aged 82 years. Born in Te Kuiti, New Zealand; to Neil & Ida Gernhoefer, Ian moved to Australia in 1978 and to Victoria in 1984. Ian was devoted to his family and was actively involved in his community. Ian is reunited with his beloved Wife Beverley of 62 years.
Ian, you will be missed deeply by your loving children Wayne, Gaylene, Robyn and Grant and their partners; Julie, Marcus, Mark and Carla. 14 adoring grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Friends and other family in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the USA.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 20th August in Castlemaine. Should you wish to commemorate Ian’s life, rather than flowers or gifts to the family, please consider a contribution to the Cancer Council.

16/02/1932 – 29/07/2020. Passed away in Bendigo on 29th July 2020. Loved Husband of Phyl. Loved Father, Father-in-law & Pa of Alf (dec), Rob & Lynda, Kev & Jenny, Ian & Belinda & their families. His beloved dog Conner joined him at the same time and day.

A life lived well, a well lived life. The long day closes after a long battle with ill health. Sleep peacefully my mate, until we meet again. Love you always.

Dad was an honest hard-working man. Always first to help in the community. A busy man who loved all of his family and always made time for them. Our thanks and love to the special man that you have been in all our lives. Rob & Lynda, Shawn & Emma, Grace, Darcy, Bec & Will, Patrick, (dec) Elliette, Fletcher.
