23.05.1927 – 24.08.2020. Passed away peacefully at Penhall, Castlemaine. Aged 93 years. Dearly loved Wife of Kenneth Harding (dec) & Gordon Guest (dec). Daughter of Eric & Vera (both dec), Sister of Edna (dec) & Glenys. Born & raised in Guildford, Merle was a valued member of the community. Very much loved and loving Mother of Christine, Denise & Alison. Nanna Merle to 8 Grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren.

A special lady now at rest. Mum, you will be always in our hearts.

Heartfelt thanks to all of the wonderful staff at Penhall for their care, compassion & friendship to Merle during the last 4 years. Many thanks also to Dr. Danny Silver, Dr. Kirby Jefferies, Dr. Richard Mayes and staff at Lyttleton Street Clinic.

A Private Graveside Service was held at the Guildford Cemetery, where Merle was respectfully laid to rest.

Late of Epsom & Castlemaine, passed away peacefully on 13th August 2020, aged 82 years. Born in Te Kuiti, New Zealand; to Neil & Ida Gernhoefer, Ian moved to Australia in 1978 and to Victoria in 1984. Ian was devoted to his family and was actively involved in his community. Ian is reunited with his beloved Wife Beverley of 62 years.
Ian, you will be missed deeply by your loving children Wayne, Gaylene, Robyn and Grant and their partners; Julie, Marcus, Mark and Carla. 14 adoring grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Friends and other family in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the USA.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 20th August in Castlemaine. Should you wish to commemorate Ian’s life, rather than flowers or gifts to the family, please consider a contribution to the Cancer Council.

A life lived well, a well lived life. The long day closes after a long battle with ill health. Sleep peacefully my mate, until we meet again. Love you always.

Dad was an honest hard-working man. Always first to help in the community. A busy man who loved all of his family and always made time for them.
