Ian ‘Gags’ Gallagher
15th October 1962 – 19th July 2026. Beloved Son of Bill & Mira (both dec). A loved brother to Janice, Kevin, Trevor, Lynette, Gary (dec) and their families.
A kind-hearted man who enjoyed helping others without any fuss.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Ian’s life will be held in the Lions Club Rooms, Kennedy Street, Castlemaine on Friday, 4th September 2026 commencing at 2.30pm.
I have good memories of Ian gags funny bugger went to his house one night and Kevin Fireman played the eagles new kid in town never heard such good music remember going to mow mrs powers lawn across the road and he was throwing rocks on the lawn because he did it her grass long time ago sorry to hear.

A Britton Street kid. Memories of Ian in years past, when Britton Street and surrounding streets were abuzz with kids. Spent so much time with Ian, the Gallagher family and their dog Bimbo in Forest Creek and Poverty Gully. Played footy with Ian at Campbells Creek in the late 70s. A gentle soul who touched the lives of many. Rest in Peace Ian.
