20.2.1949 – 21.8.2025. After a long battle with his health, Barry decided it was time. He left us on 21st August 2025. Darling husband to Jennifer (Jen). Loving Father to Tanya and Darrin, Matthew and Kerrie. Pop to Blade, Indi, Connor and Pop Pop to Braxton. Karate Sensei, Tai Chi teacher, Bonsai teacher and friend.
After almost 60 years together we must part. Till we meet again. Darl xx
The Lacey family wish to sincerely thank the wonderful and caring staff at Ellery House. Barry did enjoy his many conversations with staff and residents while there. Our thanks also goes to Dr Mungi.

Family & Friends are invited to join to share stories at his Wake No; 2 as we celebrate his life and share a light morning tea. To be held on Sunday, 31st August 2025, commencing at 11am at the Masonic Centre, 147 High Street, Maldon. Please wear colourful and casual clothes. Barry will be Privately Buried in accordance with his wish at the Newstead Cemetery.
If anyone wishes to say their goodbye, he will be leaving home at 3pm on the Saturday. Thank you from the family to everyone for their kind messages over the last few days.
