ARCHER (NEE; GREGORY), Doreen Olive

19/09/1934 – 15/03/2021. Passed away peacefully at Thompson House, Castlemaine, aged 86 years. Dearly loved Wife of Brian (dec). Loved Mother and Mother-in-law of Greg & Brenda, Rodney & Jody, Gavan & Wendy, Colin & Tony, Darren & Jenny. Loved Gran of nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Rest peacefully, forever in our hearts.

Special thanks to Dr. Rebecca Dale and all the staff at Thompson House for the wonderful care and support they provided to mum and to our family.

The Funeral Service to honour Doreen’s life will be held in the Thompson Memorial Chapel, 123 Mostyn Street, Castlemaine on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 commencing at 11am. At the conclusion of the Service, the cortege will leave for the Castlemaine Cemetery where Doreen will be peacefully laid to rest.

  2. Thanks Anne for your lovely message. I went through an old photo album with mum only a few months ago. You were in a lot of the photos. I got mum to tell me who the people were so I could write next to them. Mum had great memories of those days and it was reflected in the album. Mum passed away peacefully which we were grateful for. I recently went through an old photo album with mum which was of her childhood, mainly at home in Dunstan St. We labelled the photos of which many included yourself.   5. Our pleasure. Great memories !! The fish pond !!! Marie did drink some of the water !!! yep = sick !! Mum was so very happy to have them next door . Fantastic help for her as dad was away so much of the time. Some memories flash in too my mind. Pop played the organ frequently. It was kep in the room on the right as one walked in toohose ? bedroom. Door always closed. I decided I would like to have a play !!! Went in. I received a lecture from Pop – do not go in to ANY rooms without first knocking OR asking permission. I can still visualize same. Those were the days . Wonderful memories
