GERNHOEFER, Ian Neil
Late of Epsom & Castlemaine, passed away peacefully on 13th August 2020, aged 82 years. Born in Te Kuiti, New Zealand; to Neil & Ida Gernhoefer, Ian moved to Australia in 1978 and to Victoria in 1984. Ian was devoted to his family and was actively involved in his community. Ian is reunited with his beloved Wife Beverley of 62 years.
Ian, you will be missed deeply by your loving children Wayne, Gaylene, Robyn and Grant and their partners; Julie, Marcus, Mark and Carla. 14 adoring grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Friends and other family in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the USA.
A Private Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 20th August in Castlemaine. Should you wish to commemorate Ian’s life, rather than flowers or gifts to the family, please consider a contribution to the Cancer Council.
My deepest sympathy to you all during this time. I will always have the fond and funny memories of our time in the lions club together.
I am privileged to have known both Ian and Beverley. May you both rest peacefully together forever.
